We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Safety Officer (Mining Processing Site)

Location: Kama-Otto, Nasarawa
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

• We are seeking dedicated individuals to join our team as Mine safety officers to ensure compliance with safety standards, minimize workplace hazards, and promote a culture of safety at our mining and processing site.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and ensure that all operations comply with applicable safety standards and regulations, proactively identifying and addressing potential risks.
• Accompany supervisors during routine safety inspections.
• Assist with general management tasks.
• Support the safety and environmental section with onsite supervision and timely issue reporting.
• Conduct daily safety inspections of the site to identify and rectify hazards, ensuring a safe working environment.
• Assist in investigating accidents and incidents to determine root causes, prepare detailed reports, and recommend corrective measures to prevent recurrence.
• Maintain detailed records of safety inspections, incidents, and corrective actions, and prepare reports for management review.

Requirements

• Candidates should possess HND / OND / B.Sc Degree with 1 - 3 years of experience.
• The candidate must be comfortable with working in a processing plant environment.
• Detail oriented, responsible and good verbal and written communication skills.
• Basic knowledge of safety rules and signs.
• Any previous experience in safety is a plus but not a mandatory requirement.
• Ability to work onsite in potentially challenging environments and actively participate in inspections and audits.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills to identify hazards and propose effective solutions.

Salary
N100,000 monthly.
