JOB TITLE: QUALITY ASSURANCE PHARMACIST
INDUSTRY: PHARMACEUTICAL
LOCATION: CALABAR, NIGERIA
JOB TYPE: FULL-TIME
The main responsibility of the Quality Assurance Pharmacist is to ensure continued compliance of the technical aspects of the business. The purpose is to ensure compliance with all the provisions of the Pharmacy Act.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Develop and implement quality assurance policies, procedures, and guidelines to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
· Conduct internal audits to assess compliance with quality systems and identify areas for improvement.
· Review and approve quality-related documentation, including batch records, specifications, and validation protocols.
· Collaborate with quality control teams to establish and maintain quality control processes.
· Ensure compliance with pharmaceutical regulations and guidelines, addressing any non-compliance issues.
· Provide training to staff on quality assurance procedures and best practices.
· Review and approve the release of finished pharmaceutical products for distribution.
· Identify opportunities for continuous quality improvement and participate in process enhancement initiatives.
JOB REQUIREMENT
· Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
· A minimum 5 years’ experience in Pharmaceutical industry with at least 4+ years in QA/QC type roles supporting commercial pharmaceutical operations, ideally in a production QA support, technical manufacturing projects or release roles
· Registered with the PCN
· Deviation and CAPA Management
· In-depth knowledge of GMP and pharmaceutical regulatory requirements.
· Licensed pharmacist in Nigeria
· Shows high level of integrity in all customer related and business activities.
· Understanding of common medical warehousing standards
· Experience in capacity development and delivery of trainings
· Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
· Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
· Experience with quality audits and process improvement.
· Highest degree of personal and professional integrity, honesty, and ethics.
· Continuous quality improvement mindset.
· Leadership by example orientation.
· Actively engage with operations and HQ management.
