Chief Operating Officer

 Job title: Chief Operating Officer

Industry: Hospitality

Salary: 3m - 4m per annum

Location: Ibadan

Responsibilities:

Cash management

-Ensure timely, daily and accurate lodgment of sales proceeds.

-Supervises the day-to-day finance and accounts operations.

-Coordinate payment transfers through the bank.   

*Audit & Risk Management.*  

-Setting up standard operating procedures (SOP) for all departments.  

-Continuous monitoring and evaluation of risk assets to ensure no value loss. 

-Implement and maintains internal control systems.  

-Audit of all operations in each department to ensure the safeguarding of all risk assets.  

*Financial Management*

-Prepares bank reconciliation statements for the business. 

-Account receivables and payables management. 

-Compliance with relevant Tax Legislation and filing of returns on a monthly basis. 

*Administrative Management* 

-Overall day-to-day office management.  

-Organize meetings for the staff team, volunteers, trustees and training.  

-Ensure staff salaries, pension and tax returns are prepared and filed correctly and on time.  

-Coordinating market surveys for the effective planning of the business, and its viability, as well as its chances for survival in the competitive marketplace.  

-Create strategies to increase employee awareness and promote productivity.  

-Communicate with the media and other interested parties to announce new events and discuss organizational changes in a way that attempts to maintain a positive image of the company.


*Requirement*

1. BSC Accounting or Finance or  Economics or any social sciences related.  Additional qualification in business administration, management, or a related field is also preferred.

2. 5 - 10 years of experience 

3. Must be proficient in MS Packages (MS Word, MS Excel and PowerPoint)

4. Experience in a related field, such as management or financial reporting, preferred.

5. Exceptional leadership, time, task and resource management skills.

6. Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, coaching, interpersonal, and verbal and written communication skills.

7. Proficiency with computers, especially MS Office.

8. Ability to plan for and keep track of multiple projects and deadlines.

9. Familiarity with budget planning and enforcement, human resources, and customer service procedures.

10. Willingness to continue building skills through educational opportunities.
