President Mohammadu Buhari ban tweeter a day after he criticized the social media giant for deleting his tweet.
the minister of information and culture, Alaji Lai mohammed. announced the suspension in a statement issue in Abuja on Friday being the 4th of June.
The minister on Wednesday, June 2, accused the microblogging site of bias on issues concerning Nigeria’s domestic affairs, adding that Twitter’s role is suspicious and Nigeria would not be fooled.
Mohammed argued that the president has the right to express his idea on the current security challenges in the country.He said Twitter is guilty of double standards, faulting the company for allegedly ignoring inciting tweets by secessionist groups against Nigeria. CLICK HERE for more details.
